Conference Recaps

2nd Annual Palliative Wound Care Conference June 10-11 2011 - Nearly 70 people, with registrants from 9 states, primarily Midwestern, were at this conference. The conference was well-received with excellent feedback. We are planning another conference next year, just a little larger. Information was shared on skin changes at life’s end, pain management, maggot therapy, surgical and vascular interventions, support surfaces, legal issues, alternative care and palliative wound care.

First Annual Palliative Wound Care Conference - Nearly 90 people from two countries and 21 states were at this conference. Conference feedback was very good and we are planning another conference next year, just a little larger.

8th International Biotherapy Conference  - A total of 73 people from 19 countries, representing 6 continents attended this conference.  Feedback for the conference was very positive--learning, networking, and social interaction were all rated quite high.

Foot Screenings

The Black Family Reunion in Cincinnati Aug 2010 - A very successful two days of foot screening. We screened 163 people, gave self-screening information to over 90 people and talked to another 20 or more people who just wanted information.

The Black Family Reunion in Cincinnati Aug 2011 - A successful screening event was held at the Black Family Reunion on Saturday and Sunday, Aug 20 and 21. A total of 117 people were screened. We did lots of counselling and some referrals to specialists. Overall a fun and worthwhile event.
