Treasurer
Foot and ankle surgeon, with specialty in difficult cases and limb salvage.  A premier surgeon who collaborates with  other physicians, including  Drs. Tippett and Hunter, in a team effort for limb salvage.

 

William L. Tyler
Secretary
Diabetic who had a foot ulcer with threatened amputation.  He is a limb salvage patient, treated with innovative therapies, now strongly committed to amputation prevention for diabetics.

 

Oscar M. Alvarez, Ph.D.

Member
Director of a hospital wound center with strong research and support of innovative wound care.  Published author and respected international lecturer and teacher in the wound care field.  His Hispanic heritage makes him a powerful advocate for this at risk population.

 

Anthony Bowden

Former NFL running back, an African-American with diabetes, who had multiple leg wounds with threatened amputation.  He is a limb salvage patient, treated with innovative therapies, and a fervent advocate for the at-risk black population.

 

Monica Hunter, MD

Interventional cardiologist and vascular surgeon who specializes in limb salvage.  She collaborates frequently with Drs. Tippett and Rizzo for limb salvage, as an inter-disciplinary team effort.

 

Jerry LaRue
Member
Former NFL football player for the Browns, Jerry has diabetes and had one leg amputated and was facing a second leg amputation due to a foot wound. This was averted with innovative wound care and years later he still has his good leg. He is willing spokesperson dedicated to amputation prevention, especially since his heritage of native American is more prone to amputation.

 

Michael S. Murphy

A Vietnam veteran with diabetes from Agent Orange exposure, who had a gangrenous foot wound with threatened amputation.  He is a limb salvage patient, treated with innovative therapies, and staunchly supports a prevention program.

Retired ENT surgeon and now CEO of EHOB, the company he founded.  He is dedicated to the prevention and healing of wounds, and is an award-winning humanitarian and community developer.
